FAQ
Q:
What does the Link field indicate in the meter tab?
Link indicates the primary address of the meter device.
Q:
How many meters can I connect to the gateway?
The gateway support up to 20/80 loads, not meters. One meter usually consumes between 1-4 loads so the amount of meters that you can connect is depending on the number of loads each meter consumes giving you the total number of loads on the bus. One load is 1.5mA.
Q:
My DHCP server needs a few minutes before it can assign any ipaddresses and your gateways seems to "give up" after the first few tries. How do I make this work?
To change the gateways behaviour please configure the following two options at the [IP] section of the CHIP.INI file:
AUTOIP=0
DHCP_TRIALS=0
Q:
After I have enabled the logging function (raw log active) in the configuration tab where do I find the logfile?
To retrieve the logfile you need to establish a FTP connection to the gateway (same login and password as the gateway webpages) then open up the folder
For -B version:: C:\Log... *.log
For -C version:: Ext\Log... *.log
Q:
How do I find out the firmware version on the gateway?
Look in the Service tab of the gateway webpages.
