The Anybus Edge Chip is a ready to use embedded gateway for industrial connections to IoT communication markets. It includes a high performance processor on an ARM® Cortex A7 core, RAM and FLASH memory.

Anybus Edge Chip is the processor inside the standard gateway made available for embedding into customer products. And just like with our gateways, the chip supports connections to a variety of interfaces and networks.

Integration framework

The Anybus Edge chip acts as a companion communication processor to work along side the main control system. This system allows for a secure communication system that will decrease the load on the main control and provides isolation from outside influences.

Built into the Edge chip is the ability to act as an Anybus CompactCom host processor. This interface brings the wide selection of the Anybus industrial networks to IoT providing versatility and value to any product

Configuration Options

There are two order codes for this gateway supporting different configuration options. The configuration options provide powerful methods for setting up the device to meet a variety of needs. The configuration method is hard set in the gateway and cannot be changed to the other method without swapping products. 

Configuration with Sequence

The Anybus Edge Gateways are built for ease of use. They feature HMS Sequence, a powerful graphical programming tool, to build your needed on device Edge Intelligence. Configuration and deployment can be done locally or remotely via a simple web interface. 

Configuration with CODESYS

Codesys allows for advanced programming of the Anybus Edge Gateway by allowing for unrestricted programming according to the IEC 61131-3 standard. Configuration is done utilizing the Codesys Development System and the configurations can be directly deployed and debugged from the tool.
