HMS PRODUCT RETURN POLICY

HMS Gateway Products
As of the 1st January 2011, HMS gateway product ranges have had their guarantee extended from 12 months to 36 months. This extended guarantee is offered to the below mentioned gateway familes that were shipped from HMS after Jan 1st 2011. Anybus Communicator, Anybus X-gateway, 1SICANopen, Modbus-RTU-TCP gateway, Anybus Serial Server and all Netbiter gateways.

HMS Embedded Products
HMS has a guarantee commitment according to the rules specified in the EL98 delivery conditions, i.e. a warranty period of 12 months from HMS shipment date.

If nothing else has been previously agreed, the customer pays for the freight to HMS, while HMS pays for the return freight to the customer, according to the EL98 delivery conditions.

Return shipments are delivered with DHL, "CPT (Destination)". If can not use DHL for product returns then please state this in the "Problem Description" box!

Before returning a product to HMS, you need to obtain a (PRN) Product Return Number otherwise known as (RMA) number. By completing this form you will automatically receive your PRN. Please print this out and save it!

Always pack the products in a physically- and ESD-safe way. Contact us if there are questions regarding suitable packaging material or ESD-protection.

If a warranty repair is requested and you are unsure of the products age, please check the products serial number with us to determine if it is still under warranty.

If a repair or an upgrade of a product outside of warranty is requested, we must have a written order sent to HMS via post or FAX. For repairs we will charge 80 EUR for the troubleshooting and 80 EUR per started hour of work plus parts. We normally return with DHL, and the freight cost for repairs and updates will be charged to the customer.

As complete fault information as possible should be enclosed with the modules when they are shipped back to HMS for a repair.
Please try and include the following:
 How does the fault appear?
 Under which circumstances does the fault appear?
 How is the module configured?
 In what type of application is the product installed?
 What is the rest of the installation like?
 What other products are used in the installation?
 How is the environment around the installation?
 How was the faulty product isolated?
 How was the fault confirmed?
