HMS intoduces the 1SI CANopen Master/Slave module for the Siemens ET200S I/O system
Monday, November 09, 2009 HMS in joint co-operation with Siemens AG, introduces a new plug-in CANopen Master/Slave extension module for the Siemens SIMATIC ET200S I/O system.
The new 1 SI CANopen module brings CANopen connectivity to the SIMATIC ET200S distributed I/O system, allowing seamlessly integration of CANopen devices into the Siemens automation architecture.
The CANopen module fits mechanically into the standard ET200 system rack and can be used in combination with all other Siemens modules of the ET200S family. Via the standard Siemens Profibus or Profinet bus coupler of the ET200S, the 1 SI CANopen module can be used along with the huge range of Siemens automation and control systems including SIMATIC, SIMOTION and SINUMERIC systems.
The 1SI CANopen enables the easy integration of Siemens equipment into business segments where CANopen is used today. The module is integrated into Step7 which helps to minimize engineering efforts. The CANopen Master configuration is made via an external CANopen configuration tool.
The new 1SI CANopen module has successfully passed Siemens system approval testing and is shipped from December 2009 onwards. Published by
