PROFINET-IO slave/device PCI Interface

The Anybus PCI PROFINET-IO slave/device card is a complete solution including a protocol processor that unloads the host device. It can be used in any device including a PCI slot such as industrial PCs etc. The module is based on the Siemens PROFINET-IO software stack.

Profinet Functions:
The PROFINET-IO card works as an I/O-Device on the PROFINET-IO network. The card supports up to 1013 bytes of IO for both Input and Output data. The baudrate is 100Mbit/s (full duplex). The IP-adress is set using a PROFINET-IO configuration tool such as Step7 from Siemens. A utility from HMS called Anybus IPconfig is also available for TCP/IP configuration. Three diagnostic LEDs will continiously indicate the actual PROFINET-IO status and evantually error messages. The card also supports the normal PROFINET-IO Alarm functionality and it uses a standard RJ45 connector for the bus connection.

IT-Functions:
The PROFINET-IO card also support functions like built in Webserver, E-mail client and FTP functions. The IT functions can be used simultaneously with the PROFINET-IO communication.

It comes with driver support for the 3S soft-PLC program. If you want to develop your own Windows applications this is made easy using the Anybus API driver package (Anybus Transport Provider). This offers a standardized dll API with simple functions for card initialization and process data exchange.
