HMS
Industrial Networks is a world-leading independent
supplier of communication technology for automation
equipment. HMS provides reliable solutions to connect
devices to any major network protocol and products
enabling interconnection between different industrial
networks.
HMS’ products are based on an extensive know-how
in designing software for industrial communication protocols and longstanding
experience in packaging such software into hardware interfaces. The
products are primarily marketed under the Anybus brand name and divided
into three products group; Embedded Products and the recently launched
Networking Products and PC Interfaces.
Embedded
Products: Interchangeable plug-in modules and interface
cards for all major Fieldbuses, Industrial Ethernet,
wireless and serial. Designed for integration into OEM devices
such as PLCs, Robot Controllers, HMIs, Drives,
Valve Manifolds, Weigh Scales and virtually any other automation
device.
Networking
Products: Gateways that interconnect any
two industrial communication technologies. Designed
for System Integrators, Machine Builders and End Users for use in
industrial applications for
automation and control, remote diagnostics and
factory upgrades.
PC
Interface Products: PCI cards for Industrial
PC’s,
software for networking configuration and tools
for users and developers of a industrial automation
products or systems.
The Organisation
HMS’ employs
over 155 persons globally, of which 30% are full-time
engaged with R&D. The HMS head office,
product development center and main manufacturing
facility is located in Halmstad, Sweden. Other
offices include sales and support offices in Karlsruhe
(Germany), Chicago (US), Shin-Yokohama (Japan),
Beijing (China), Milano (Italy) and Mulhouse (France). HMS has also built a global "Anybus" distributor
network established in 30 countries worldwide.
During the autumn of 2007, HMS finalized a successful Initial Public Offering and has been listed on OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm. HMS has planned for the listing on the main list of the Stock Exchange in Stockholm for several years and the organization has step-by-step been strengthened to comply with the demands of a public company.
With this strong continued growth the HMS HQ building and production facility was bursting at the seams, so HMS management decided to move the company into a new modern and tailormade building in the heart of Halmstad, Sweden. In the new 3900 m2 facility all departments are working under one roof which helps to optimize internal communication and speed up the internal workflow.
Customers
The Group has a customer base of more than 1000 companies,
including large automation OEMs such as ABB, Atlas
Copco, Motoman, Rockwell Automation, Schneider
Electric, Siemens and Yaskawa, as well as smaller
niched automation suppliers. Products from companies
such as, Toyota, Daimler Chrysler, Nestle, IKEA,
Bosch, Peugeot, Electrolux and General Motors are
manufactured in automations system using HMS communication
technologies.

HMS core competence is the design of software
for industrial communication protocols. HMS has

Manufacturing
In the autumn of 2007, HMS relocated its HQ and production facility to a new custom-built location in the heart of Halmstad, Sweden. Production is located in a specific area with full ESD and ambient control allowing fullfillment of highest customer demands on soldering quality. The new automated warehouse speeds up the material handling processes and helps to provide just-in-time delivery to large OEM customers.
Our customers use our products in critical and demanding applications, in
a wide range of industries.
QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) is a basic foundation for HMS operations.
Quality control is a key part of our manufacturing. By having our own manufacturing
capacity and in-house know how, it makes us be
able to respond to high demands of flexibility and lean manufacturing.
HMS takes
full responsibility for the entire chain of manufacturing, both in our own
high tech electronics factory, at the HMS head office in Halmstad,
as well as via our sourcing partners around the world.

of the production, quality assurance and assembly of critical components as
