HMS has been audited by leading automation companies such as Motoman Robotics, Sony, Pilz and ABB. These successful audits cover everything from product quality, delivery performance, general partnership, reaction time, logistics and technical support.

RoHS and WEEE Compliance
The RoHS directive 2002/95/EC, as well as the WEEE directive 2002/96/EC, aim to decrease the risk for discharge of substances harmful to life and environment. Although HMS's products are not covered (industrial production equipment is excluded at the moment), our standard products are still RoHS compatible.

RoHS II (2011/65/EU)
The new RoHS directive, called RoHS II, will be in effect as of January 2, 2013. There are no new substances added in the updated directive which means that HMS products are still RoHS compatible, according to the new RoHS II directive.

RoHS logos will be removed from all Anybus gateway products (AB70xx, AB71xx, AB73xx, AB76xx, AB77xx, AB78xx, AB79xx and AB90xx), all Netbiter communication gateways and 1 SI CANopen products (020570, 021220 and 021290).
An updated RoHS directive states that from January 2013 no end product are allowed to have printed RoHS logos.

All HMS products are still RoHS compliant! You can download from our the RoHS Material declaration certificate.

Starting from October 15th 2012 HMS production will start their work with removing the RoHS logo from our products.

The RoHS directive covers EEEs (Electrical and Electronic Equipment), i.e. end products. Almost all categories of electronic products will be covered by RoHS II (electrical and electronic equipment not covered include military defense equipment, solar panels in systems as well as products for research and development).

HMS's Remote Management products will be covered by RoHS from July 2017 (category 9) and Gateway products (category 11) from July 2019.
