Valve Manifolds and Anybus
technology
Valves
and Valve Manifolds communication is becoming more
and more important. The drivers to use networks in
these products are reduced wiring costs when using
a fieldbus network compared to traditional wiring,
and also the fact that a fieldbus networks can transfer
much more information to and from the valves than
just the control signals. Diagnostics, alarms and
other intelligent functions can be used to optimize
the control of the valves and also allow predictive
maintenance to maximize uptime of the production
process.
Two categories of Anybus products are suitable for
Valves and Valve Manifolds:

Anybus-IC
This product is developed to
target basic functionality when replacing controls
based of traditional I/O signals, like a valve manifold, with fieldbus or
Ethernet connectivity. Today Anybus-IC is available
in Profibus, DeviceNet, Modbus-TCP and EtherNet/IP,
which are the most common protocols in applications
like valve manifolds. Anybus-IC also offers some
special functions for valve applications, such
as DeviceNet_QuickConnect. The Anybus-IC also makes
it possible to use IP65 connectors, since connectors
are mounted outside the Anybus-IC, giving an option
to use M12 standard IP65 connectors.
If your are looking for a simple, quick and cost efficient way to
implement a communication solution in your valve product, Anybus-IC
is a optimal choice. Read

Anybus-CompactCom
HMS latest product
development is a high functionally but low-cost
embedded unit that integrate the complete communication
technology, hardware and software, into a compact
unit. The Anybus-CompactCom interchangeability
gives manufacturers of valves maximum flexibility
and after one “design
in” their product can support all major networks.
