Connect your Temperature Controller to any network!

Do you need to integrate an existing PLC to a new Temperature Controller or doesn’t your Temperature Controller support the network you have in your automation system? No problem, HMS has the products you need to connect your existing equipment to any of the popular industrial networks.

Two categories of Anybus Gateways for connecting Temperature Controller:

Anybus Communicator - Serial to Fieldbus/Ethernet
Most Temperature Controllers has a serial port for set-up and local communication to a PC. The Anybus-Communicator connects to the serial port of the Temperature Controller and translates the data communication from the serial port and converts data registers in the format required for the selected Fieldbus/Ethernet networks.

The serial communication and the data mapping is user configurable by using the software Anybus Config Tool. Read more

Anybus Serial Server
Most Temperature Controllers have an RS232 port for programming and set up, which connects to a PC or Laptop. With Anybus Serial Server this serial cable can now extended further away from the Temperature Controller than the serial cable permits. The Anybus Serial Server takes the communication from the serial port of the Temperature Controller and “tunnels” the data over Ethernet. On a PC, located anywhere on the local network, or on a wide area network, you can run the same PC program as you did when you connected to the Temperature Controller via a serial cable. On this PC, a software (included with the product) redirects the serial communication from the COM port of the PC to the Ethernet port of the same PC. The serial communication is then tunneled via Ethernet. The Anybus Serial server is connected to Ethernet and un-package the data from Ethernet back to the serial port of Anybus Serial Server, which is connected to the Temperature Controller. Read more
