Semiconductor Equipment and Embedded Anybus technology

In the manufacturing process of semiconductors advanced machines and processes are interconnected by industrial networks. Also within a machine cell networks are used to connect devices into local processor.

The leading networks within semiconductor applications are DeviceNet, Lonworks and EtherNet/IP. Some European manufactures also use Profibus.

Three categories of Embedded Anybus products are suitable for Semiconductor Equipment:

Anybus-CompactCom
HMS latest product development is a high functionally but low-cost embedded unit that integrate the complete communication technology, hardware and software, into a compact unit. The Anybus-CompactCom interchangeability, gives manufactures of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, maximum flexibility and after one “design in” their product can support all networks used in this industry. Anybus-IC
This product is developed to target low end applications, needing a simple, quick and cost efficient way to implement a communication solution in the device. We have several customer using this for simple I/O products with semi applications. One benefit is that the fieldbus connector is external from the Anybus-IC and can be selected to follow a semi conductor standard. Read more

Anybus-PCI
The Anybus-PCI cards are built on the Anybus-S and Anybus-M family of interchangeable communications cards, but formatted to fit a standard PCI slot, a common platform for semiconductor processors/controllers.

The fact that our PCI cards has an on-board micro processor running the entire protocol stack off-loads the embedded PC of the controller, thus enabling maximum performance for the application. Read more
