Connect your HMI to any network!

Do you need to integrate an existing
PLC to a new HMI panel or doesn’t your HMI
support the network you have in your automation
system? No problem, HMS has the products you need
to connect your existing equipment
to any of the popular industrial networks.
Three categories of Anybus Gateways for connecting HMI systems:

Anybus
X-gateways - Network to Network Gateways
Anybus X-gateways can
connect almost any combination of the popular networks
for Fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet. If your PLC
supports one network, let’s
say Profibus, the X-gateway can be a bridge between
Profibus and any other industrial protocol. This
opens the possibility to connect the PLC to virtually
any other PLC with a dissimilar communication protocol. Read

Anybus
Serial Server
Most HMI's have an RS232 port for programming and set
up, which connects to a PC or Laptop. With Anybus Serial Server this serial
cable can now extended further away from the PLC than the serial cable permits.
The Serial Server takes the communication from the serial port of the
HMI and “tunnels” the
data over Ethernet. On a PC, located anywhere on the local network, or on a wide
area network, you can run the same PC program as you did when you connected to
the HMI via a serial cable. On this PC, a software (included with the product)
redirects the serial communication from the COM port of the PC to the Ethernet
port of the same PC. The serial communication is then tunneled via Ethernet.
The Serial server is connected to Ethernet and un-package the data from
Ethernet back to the serial port of Serial Server, which is connected
to the HMI. Read more

Anybus
Communicator - Serial to Fieldbus/Ethernet
Most HMIs have a serial port
for set-up and local communication to a PC. The
Anybus-Communicator connects the serial port of the HMI and translates the data
communication from the serial port and converts data registers in the format
required for the selected Fieldbus/Ethernet networks.
The serial communication and the data mapping is user configurable by using the
software Anybus Config Tool. Read

Anybus-OPC
Server
The Anybus
OPC server was developed in co-operation with
MatrikonOPC Inc, one of the leading suppliers
of OPC technology on the world market. Matrikon
made a brandlabelling for HMS of their basic
OPC server, and they also developed the hardware
access driver using HMS Anybus-S API hardware
drivers. This means that the OPC server uses
the Anybus-S Transport Provider API to communicate
with the Anybus hardware. Read
